Short Version

One day, a girl named Emma was coming home from school. Suddenly, she saw a money bag on the road. She looked around, but nobody was there.

Emma opened the bag and saw a lot of money inside. She took it home and counted it. There were thirty thousand taka.

At first, Emma thought about buying a smartphone with the money. Then she thought, “This money is not mine. I should return it.”

She told her parents everything. In the afternoon, Emma and her father went to the nearest police station. They gave the money bag to the police officer.

The real owner had already reported the lost bag. The police officer returned it to him. The owner was very happy and thanked Emma for her honesty.

Emma felt happy because she had done the right thing.

Moral: Honesty is the best policy.

One day, a schoolgirl named Emma was walking home after school. As she passed along a road, she noticed a small bag lying near the side.

She picked it up and looked around, but nobody seemed to be searching for it. Emma opened the bag and was surprised to see a large amount of money inside.

She took the bag home and counted the money. There were thirty thousand taka.

For a moment, Emma thought about what she could buy. She had wanted a smartphone for a long time. With so much money, she could easily buy one.

Then she stopped and thought carefully. “This money does not belong to me,” she said to herself. “Someone may be very worried because it is missing.”

Emma told her parents exactly how she had found the bag. They were pleased that she wanted to return it.

That afternoon, Emma and her father went to the nearest police station. They handed the bag and the money to a police officer and explained where it had been found.

The real owner had already reported the loss. After checking the details, the police returned the bag to him.

The owner was very relieved. He thanked Emma warmly for her honesty. The police officer also praised her for doing the right thing.

Emma went home without the money or a new phone, but she felt proud and happy because she had acted honestly.

Moral: Honesty is the best policy.
