Zarina’s Good Heart

Zarina was a poor girl. She worked in a rich man’s house. Her master was kind, but her mistress was rude. Zarina worked hard every day.

One day, Zarina was serving tea. Suddenly, a cup fell from her hand and broke. Her mistress became very angry. She scolded Zarina and told her to leave the house.

Zarina cried and went out. But after some time, she heard a child crying inside the house. The mistress’s little son was very sick. Nobody was near him.

Zarina ran back and called the doctor. The doctor came and saved the child.

The mistress felt sorry. She said, “Forgive me, Zarina.” Zarina smiled. Kindness changed the mistress’s heart.

Zarina was a poor girl. She worked in a rich man’s house. Her master was a good man. He spoke kindly to her. But her mistress was very rude. She often scolded Zarina for small mistakes.

One morning, Zarina was serving tea to the family. Suddenly, one tea cup fell from her hand and broke. Zarina became afraid. Her mistress became very angry. She shouted, “You are careless. Leave my house at once.”

Zarina cried. She packed her small bag and went out of the house. She was very sad. But when she was near the gate, she heard the mistress’s little son crying loudly. Zarina looked back. The child was on the floor and he looked very sick.

Zarina forgot her own pain. She ran into the house and called the master. Then she called a doctor. The doctor came quickly and gave medicine to the child. Soon the child became better.

The mistress felt very sorry. She held Zarina’s hand and said, “I was wrong. Please forgive me.” Zarina smiled and said, “It is all right.” From that day, the mistress became kind to her.

Zarina was a poor girl. She worked in a rich man’s house. She cleaned the rooms, washed the dishes, and helped in the kitchen. She was honest and hard-working. Her master was a good man. He always spoke to her kindly. But her mistress was very rude. She did not speak gently to Zarina.

One day, Zarina was serving tea in the sitting room. She was very careful, but suddenly her foot slipped. A tea cup fell from her hand and broke into pieces. Zarina became very afraid. She said, “Madam, I am very sorry.” But her mistress became very angry. She shouted at Zarina and said, “You are careless. I do not want you in this house. Go away now.”

Zarina began to cry. She was poor, and this work was very important for her. Still, she did not say anything bad. She took her small bag and went out of the house. When she reached the gate, she heard a child crying inside. It was the mistress’s little son. His voice was weak.

Zarina forgot her own sorrow. She ran back into the house. She saw the child lying on the floor. He was very sick. Zarina quickly called the master and then called a doctor. The doctor came soon and treated the child. After some time, the child opened his eyes. Everyone felt happy.

The mistress understood her mistake. She came to Zarina and said, “I was very cruel to you. Please forgive me.” Zarina smiled and said, “Please do not worry. The child is safe now.” From that day, the mistress became kind. Zarina’s good heart changed her.
