Zaheen Helps an Old Woman

Once a school boy named Zaheen was going home after class. He was crossing the road. Suddenly he saw an old woman lying on the road. She was senseless. There was nobody to help her.

Zaheen became afraid, but he did not run away. He called some people near the road. Then he called an ambulance. Some people helped him to move the woman to a safe place.

Soon the ambulance came. Zaheen went to the hospital with her. The doctor gave her treatment. After some time, the old woman opened her eyes.

Her family came to the hospital. They thanked Zaheen. Zaheen felt happy because he helped a helpless person.

At first, he felt afraid. He thought, “I am only a boy. What can I do?” But then he said to himself, “She is in danger. I must help her.”

Zaheen went near the old woman and called her, “Grandmother, can you hear me?” But she did not answer. He quickly called some people from a nearby shop. He asked them to help him move her to a safe place. Then he called an ambulance. He also found a small phone in her bag and called her family.

After a few minutes, the ambulance came. Zaheen went to the hospital with the old woman. The doctor checked her and gave her medicine. The doctor said, “She became ill on the road. You brought her here at the right time. She is safe now.”

Soon the old woman opened her eyes. Her family came to the hospital and thanked Zaheen with tears in their eyes. The old woman said, “My son, you saved my life.” Zaheen smiled and said, “Please pray for me.” Everyone praised him. That day, Zaheen learned that a small act of kindness can save a life.
