The mother went to the judge. She asked for justice. The judge called the Sultan to his court. The Sultan came like an ordinary man.

The judge ordered the Sultan to pay money to the poor mother. The Sultan accepted the judgment.

The mother got justice. Everyone praised the judge and the Sultan. The law is equal for all.

In the jungle, he saw a young deer. He aimed at it and shot an arrow. But the arrow missed the deer. It went far away and hit a poor boy. The boy died at once. His mother cried loudly. She was helpless and very sad.

The poor mother went to the judge. She said, “My lord, the Sultan’s arrow has killed my son. I want justice.” The judge was brave and honest. He called the Sultan to his court.

The Sultan came to the court. He did not show pride. He stood before the judge like any other man. The judge heard everything and gave his judgment. He ordered the Sultan to pay money to the poor mother.

The Sultan accepted the judgment gladly. He said, “The judge has done the right thing.” The mother got justice. The people praised the Sultan and the judge. They learned that justice should be equal for all.

One day, the Sultan went to a jungle to hunt deer. He saw a young deer running near some trees. He took his bow and aimed at the deer. Then he shot an arrow. But the arrow missed the deer. It went to another side and hit a poor boy. The boy fell down and died.

The boy’s mother came running. She saw her dead son and began to cry. She was poor and helpless, but she was brave. She said, “My son has died because of the Sultan’s arrow. I must ask for justice.” So she went to the judge and told him everything.

The judge was an honest man. He was not afraid of the Sultan. He sent a message to the Sultan and called him to the court. The Sultan came to the court like an ordinary man. He stood before the judge and listened silently.

The judge heard the poor mother and the Sultan. Then he said, “The Sultan must pay money to the mother for the death of her son.” The Sultan accepted the judgment. He said, “You have done your duty. A ruler is also under the law.”

The poor mother got justice. The people became very happy. They praised the brave judge. They also praised the Sultan because he respected the law. The story teaches us that justice should be the same for the rich and the poor, the ruler and the ordinary people.
