The Honest Schoolboy

The boy took the bag to his school. He gave it to the head teacher. The head teacher called the owner.

Soon the owner came to the school. He got his bag back and became very happy. He thanked the boy.

The head teacher praised the boy. Honesty made him great.

One day, a boy of class eight was going to school. He was walking fast because he did not want to be late. Suddenly he saw a money bag on the road. Someone dropped it there. The boy stopped and picked it up.

At first, he was confused. He thought, “What should I do with this bag?” He looked here and there. But he found no one. Then he opened the bag carefully. There was some money and a small card inside it. The card had a name and a phone number.

The boy did not take the money. He put the bag in his school bag and went to school. After reaching school, he went straight to the head teacher’s room. He said, “Sir, I found this money bag on the road.”

The head teacher called the owner. After some time, a man came to the school. He was very worried. When he got the bag back, he smiled with joy. He thanked the boy again and again.

The head teacher praised the boy before the class. The boy felt happy. He learned that honesty gives peace and respect.

One day, a boy of class eight was going to school. His name was Rafi. He was a good student. He always tried to reach school on time. That morning, he was walking quickly with his school bag on his back.

Suddenly, Rafi saw a small money bag on the road. Someone dropped it there. He stopped and picked it up. At first, he was quite confused. He thought, “What shall I do now? If I leave it here, someone may take it. But this money is not mine.”

Rafi looked around. He saw a few people walking, but no one was looking for a bag. Then he opened the bag carefully. There was a good amount of money inside it. There was also a small card. The card had a name, an address, and a phone number. For a short time, Rafi thought about many things he could buy. But soon he felt bad. He said to himself, “No, I must return this bag.”

So Rafi went to school and met the head teacher. He gave the money bag to him and told him everything. The head teacher was very pleased. He called the phone number on the card. After some time, the owner came to the school. He was very worried because he needed the money for his family.

When the owner got his bag back, he became very happy. He said, “My son, you are very honest.” He wanted to give Rafi a reward. But Rafi said, “Sir, I only did the right thing.”

The head teacher praised Rafi before all the students. Rafi felt proud and peaceful. The story teaches us that honesty is always the best way.
