The boy went to the police station. He gave the bag to the police. After some time, the owner came there. He was very worried.
The police gave him the bag. The man became very happy. He thanked the boy and gave him a reward.
The boy said, “Honesty is my duty.” Everyone praised him.

Once a boy of class eight was coming home from school on foot. He had his school bag on his back. Suddenly he saw a money bag lying beside the road. He stopped and looked at it.
He picked up the bag. Then he looked here and there. But there was no one near him. He thought for a while. He said to himself, “This bag is not mine. Someone has lost it. The owner may be very sad now.”
He opened the bag carefully. There was a good amount of money inside it. There was also a small card with a name and address. The boy did not take the money. He went straight to the police station.
The police called the owner. Soon an old man came to the police station. He was very worried. When he got his bag back, he became very happy. He said, “My son, you are a very honest boy.”
The old man wanted to give him some money as a reward. The boy smiled and said, “Thank you, sir. I only did my duty.” His parents and teachers felt proud of him.

Once a boy of class eight was coming home from school on foot. His school was not far from his house. So he walked home every day. That day, he was walking slowly and thinking about his class work. Suddenly he saw a small money bag lying beside the road.
The boy stopped. He picked up the bag and looked around. He thought the owner might be near. He waited for some time. But no one came. Then he opened the bag carefully. There was a lot of money inside it. There was also a small card with a name, a phone number, and an address.
For a moment, the boy thought, “I can buy many things with this money.” But at once he felt bad. He said to himself, “No, this money is not mine. If my father lost his money, he would be very sad. The owner of this bag is also sad now.” So he put the money bag into his school bag and went to the police station.
At the police station, he gave the bag to a police officer. The officer checked the card and called the owner. After a short time, an old man came quickly. His face was full of worry. When he saw the bag, tears came to his eyes. He said, “This money is very important for my family. Thank you, my son.”
The old man wanted to give the boy some money as a reward. But the boy said, “No, sir. I am happy because you got your money back.” The police officer praised him. His parents and teachers were proud of him. The boy learned that honesty gives us real peace and respect.
