Crows are not beautiful to look at. So, some crows are unhappy. One day, a crow found some beautiful peacock feathers in a jungle.

The crow became very happy. It put the feathers on its body. Then it looked like a peacock. It said, “Now I am beautiful. I will not live with crows.”

The crow went to the peacocks. But the peacocks understood the truth. They became angry and drove it away.

Then the crow went back to the crows. But the crows also did not accept it.

The crow felt very sad. It learned that false beauty brings shame.

The crow left its own friends and went to the peacocks. It walked proudly among them. But the peacocks soon saw that it was not a real peacock. They pulled out the feathers and drove it away.

The poor crow then went back to the crows. But the crows were angry. They said, “You left us because you felt proud. Now why have you come back?”

The crow felt very ashamed. It understood its mistake. It learned that borrowed beauty is not real beauty. We should not be proud or forget our own place.

Crows are not beautiful birds. Their colour is black, and their voice is rough. So, many crows feel unhappy. They look at peacocks and think, “How beautiful they are! If we were like them, everyone would love us.”

One day, a crow was walking in a jungle. Suddenly, it found some beautiful peacock feathers on the ground. The feathers were bright and colourful. The crow became very happy. It thought, “This is my chance. Now I can become beautiful like a peacock.”

The crow picked up the feathers and fixed them on its body. Then it looked at itself in the water. It felt very proud. It said, “I am no longer an ugly crow. I am a beautiful bird now. I should not live with crows anymore.”

So the crow left its own friends and went to the peacocks. It walked proudly among them. But the peacocks looked at it carefully. Soon they understood that it was only a crow in peacock feathers. They became angry. They pulled out the feathers and drove the crow away.

The crow felt very sad and ashamed. It went back to the crows. But the crows did not welcome it. They said, “You were proud. You left us because you wanted to be a peacock. Now go away.”

The crow sat alone on a tree and cried. It understood its mistake. It learned that we should not pretend to be what we are not. False beauty cannot bring real respect. We should be happy with our own identity.
