Mr. Riyaz became very worried. He was old, and he could not clean the drain alone. Just then, the young boys came down from their flat. They understood the danger at once. One boy brought a bamboo stick. Another boy brought a bucket. Two boys moved the wet things to a dry place. The others cleaned the blocked drain in the heavy rain.

After some time, the dirty water began to go away. The building was saved. The boys were wet from head to foot, but they were smiling. Mr. Riyaz looked at them with surprise.

He said, “I thought you were careless boys. But today you helped me like my own family.” He invited them to his room and gave them hot tea and snacks.

From that day, Mr. Riyaz changed. He spoke kindly to the boys. The boys also respected him. Mr. Riyaz learned that money cannot remove loneliness, but love and kindness can make life happy.
