Then a brave young man came forward. He took a wet cloth, covered his face, and ran into the burning house.
We waited outside with great fear. After a few minutes, the young man came out. He was carrying the old woman in his arms. Everyone shouted with joy. The old woman was senseless, but she was alive. Some people gave her water and fresh air.
Soon the fire service came. The firemen worked quickly and put out the fire. The house was badly damaged, but no one died. The old woman’s family thanked the brave young man again and again.
That night, I could not sleep for a long time. I learned an important lesson. In danger, we should not only watch. We should help others as much as we can.
