English Grammar Course: Understanding sentence components- Subject, Verb, Object, Complement & Adjunct 


Course Description: This course provides an in-depth exploration of five fundamental sentence components: subject, verb, object, complement, and adjunct. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and practical exercises, students will develop a comprehensive understanding of how these components function within sentences and contribute to overall sentence structure and meaning.

Target Audience:  This syllabus is designed for learners of all ages who want to gain a deeper understanding of English sentence structure.

Duration: 7 sessions, with 30–40-minute lesson per class.

Learning Objectives: By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Define and identify the five key sentence components: subject, verb, object, complement, and adjunct.
  2. Explain the function of each component within a sentence.
  3. Recognize different sentence structures based on the presence or absence of these components.
  4. Analyze their own writing and identify areas for improvement in sentence structure.
