Bayazid’s Love for His Mother

Short Version

Once there was a good boy named Bayazid. He loved his mother very much. One night, his mother was ill. At midnight, she woke up and asked for some water.

Bayazid went to the kitchen to bring water. But the water pot was empty. So, he went to a fountain far from his house. He filled the pot with water and came back home.

When Bayazid returned, he saw that his mother was sleeping. He did not want to wake her because she was ill. So, he stood beside her bed with the water in his hand.

He stayed there for the whole night. In the morning, his mother woke up and saw Bayazid standing beside her. She was very happy. She hugged her son with great love and thanked him.

Moral: We should love and care for our parents.

Once there was a good boy named Bayazid. He loved his mother very much and always tried to help her. One night, his mother was ill. At midnight, she woke up and said softly, “Bayazid, I am very thirsty. Please bring me some water.”

Bayazid immediately went to the kitchen. He picked up the water pot, but it was empty. There was no water in the house. He knew of a fountain that was far away, so he took the pot and went there in the dark.

After walking a long way, Bayazid reached the fountain. He filled the pot with fresh water and carefully carried it back home. When he entered his mother’s room, he saw that she had fallen asleep again.

Bayazid did not want to wake her because she was ill and needed rest. He stood quietly beside her bed with the water in his hand. He waited for her to wake up.

The hours passed, but Bayazid remained there. In the morning, his mother opened her eyes and saw him still standing beside her. She was surprised and asked why he had waited all night.

Bayazid told her that he did not want to disturb her sleep. His mother was deeply moved. She hugged her son with love and thanked him for his care.
